Friday's mini adventure
This now includes a new Borders store, amongst others. I liked the Borders stores when in London, and this one is fairly similar. The initial lack of travel books and maps was resolved when I found they were mostly upstairs. There is an extensive collection of magazines and books, but it appeared a fair whack of the stock has been shipped in from the south. There was a rather large - for Dundee, anyway - stack of copies of the new edition of Time Out's guide to Gay and Lesbian London, and the transport section was all planes and trains (no buses) - but with quite a wide selection - again, for Dundee - of books on the London Underground speciality subjects, like disused station and terracotta station buildings. There was a small bit of local stock too.
I didn't buy any reading material, did get a few new items of clothing from Matalan before heading back to town, across the city centre for powercards/payments (the Seagate Convenience Store no longer do powercards btw!), and then back to Tesco, and home. It was wet, blustery, windy, the whole lot! Got home and finally updated Thunderbird with my new domain email accounts - until now, I had been using mail2web.com for all of those.
