Travel in Coventry

The timetables for their recent network revisions made it to me today. Initially, it looked like one of the bundles in the envelope (which had partially burst) got lost in the post, until they materialised on the stairs… For those who used the bus routes to try to work out the City, you may have to try again!


Interestingly, all local buses in the area will divert via Pool Meadow Bus Station – two years after it was meant to be closing – with the exception of Stagecoach services, which will apparently have nothing there at all, except for the travel shop. CENTRO (now Network Coventry & Network West Midlands) minutes show that deprture charges (increased) at Pool Meadow are still lower than those in Strathclyde, where Stagecoach buys quite a lot of space. But hey, that’s where local management is fun…
