I took a One-Ticket for a spin... from Dundee on the Stagecoach 99B [22401] to Guardbridge, Stagecoach X24 [52475] to Dunfermline, Stagecoach 79 [16166] and 19 [22264] within Dunfermline, Stagecoach 74 [47178] to Falkirk, First 38 [65271] to Linlithgow (on which my seat cushion kept coming off as we went forward...), First 38 [65720] to Edinburgh, Lothian 34 [561] within Edinburgh city centre, First 86A [32682] to Dalkeith, Lothian 3A [702] to Edinburgh city centre, Lothian 34 [552] to Sighthill, walk to Hermitston Gait Retail Park then walk via Edinburgh Park Station to South Gyle Crescent, Lothian 35 [567] to Edinburgh Airport, Stagecoach 747 [47228] to Ferrytoll Park & Ride, Stagecoach X59 [52462] to Glenrothes, Stagecoach 24 [52367] to Guardbridge, and finally Stagecoach 99A [22404] back to Dundee. The trip started at 0903 from Dundee Bus Station, and I got back into the bus station just after 2300. Eighteen buses in sixteen hours for £10.65. You can see all the pictures here.

News picked up along the way includes Blue Bus of Shotts are to introduce a new Service X58 from St Andrews & Dunfermline to Livingston - was due to start on the 10th of July, but apparently it's not been seen in Fife yet. (Later - turns out the traffic commissoners have objected in some way to the registration, thus delaying its start date until further notice).
