Saturday in London
With "MJ" driving, I managed to make up from 20 minutes down to 2 minutes early - with no third lane motorway driving involved... The person travelling with me got on at Glasgow, and his duplicate left 35 minutes late from Keele, and arrived a few minutes short of this at London. See my pictures from Victoria and Waterloo, Canning Town, City Airport, North Woolwich, Cyprus Station, Cyprus Savage Gardens, Barking, Ilford, Waterden Road (Stagecoach open day at WA garage), Stratford, Deptford Bridge, London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Marleybone, Baker Street/Gloucester Place, Harrow, Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Heathrow Airport, Hammermsith and more Victoria, before heading back home.
I mentioned there was to be two events today - the Holloway depot open day from Metroline was cancelled, shortly after North Weald was called off. The organiser of the latter is now doubting the event will return there next year, with some choice words to say about the local authority in the enthusiast press...

On the way back, 50132 is our chariot - no duplicate - north. We manage to get on 30 minutes early, as we'd done almost everything we could in a day... The OysterCard was well bashed today, and no overcharging me this time! (I started with £3.50, added £3.00, and there is now £0.80 left, £5.70 paid is the same as the Z-16 charge cap of £5.70, 30p cheaper than a one-day travelcard). Night night ;-)
