My Sunday (apart from the laundry!)
When I woke up, got up to see the new DVD burner had finished it's work (I left it burning a backup of my work directory - just over 4gb, so enough to fit on a single DVD!), and it burnt the lot in under 50 minutes. Not bad - I can see a back up weekly or twice a week now being a lot less painful than before!
Today - quiet enough. Lots of emails from friends & well-wishers for some reason, on lots of different topics.
On web developments, I've also now got the domain suzyscott.com - the "Monday to Saturday" version of my name - which most people seemed to be looking for when I told them to look for my own name dot com... all the other sites continue, and maybe one day there will be new content! (the "Sunday" name version being susannascott.com - which I've had for the last year and a bit). They both point to the same page, and will do so until further notice.
Gave the new Dictaphone/cassette recorder thingy a spin tonight for the first time - it looks like it's going to prove it's usefulness quickly. If it helps me achieve what I want, then it's going to be worth every penny.
Has anyone else noticed members disappearing off SMF boards? One of my members on the DABF was "deleted" mysteriously last week. Another one had been done on another board, and more lately another two seem to have been mysteriously removed from another separate board, on another server. Any ideas?
Now, as I type this, I've done so in Word, so I can spot any typos faster and easier than the US-based spell checker on Blogger. I've typed "wellwishers" above, and it suggested I change it to "well-wishers" or "well wishers". So, I changed it to "well-wishers", and then it wanted me to change it to "well wishers". So I did so, and then it wanted me to change it back to "well-wishers". I've just left it now...
