Friday's early start

Friday comes, and it’s the end of yet another week. Forgive me, as I’m starting to forget which day is which! After yesterday’s docs visit never happened, first thing this morning, phone was on autodialler until the "out of hours" message stopped kicking in... and got an apt for 0900. Same doc as last week - bonus! Explained the lot, they did the full neuro exam i.e. pointy stick on feet, torch in the eyes etc. - but that's ok. They believe the headaches and stuff to be caused by "stress" (there's that word again...), and have signed me off for another few days. Hopefully I will be recovered by then.

So, at the moment, it's all going to be ok - and the tiredness and strong headaches are to disappear, if I give it the right amount of time. I'm going to hope that it is defiantly the case, come Monday 16th. (If it hadn't been for the headaches, I'd have been back either by now, or tomorrow. As you know, my life is never that straightforward). A little known fact – this is the first time I’ve ever been signed off with “stress” – usually there has been something else to write on the sick line as well!

So, after the docs, I was somewhat tired, so headed home, and did most of the necessary by email. As a result, I've discussed by email the situation with my own "new" boss. She's away after today for a week, so she will be back in time for my return, on the same day as she does. After that – just a quiet day, and then in the evening, got caught up with the blog, and other things.
