Out & About on Sunday

Following yesterday’s spectacular events, I just needed some time to myself. The Omnibus Society Tayside Area Tour was today, and being a Sunday I’d already planned to attend. I had this strong headache for most of the afternoon, which didn’t shift with painkillers. The trip itself was straightforward enough, and you can see all the pictures here.

My most "memorable" moment was when I was directing our driver through Forfar, and we were going along the Glamis Road, heading west. When the road widened, I remembered that it was the next turn off on the right for Orchardbank, I could not see the “Orchardbank >” road sign that I used to remember where to go next, but as the road was widening, I could see this was probably the turn we should take. One minute later, the driver was 3-point turning a Volvo B10B in Don & Low’s car park… and when we made the next on the right (the road sign IS still there), we made it to JP’s place, largely in one piece. “Thanks for getting us there…eventually…” So when I was directing up through Kirriemuir, I used the bus map as a reminder of the streets! Good going on a headache, slightly dull day, but lots of pictures. All things considered, it was quite a good day, I guess I probably would have appreciated it better if yesterday hadn't happened like it did, or if I'd not had a headache most of the way!.
